Hoan Kiem Lake (Hanoi): Hoan Kiem Lake is situated at the heart of Hanoi in Vietnam. It is one of the main picturesque spots in the city and considered as the favourite leisure spot for locals. The name Hoan Kiem means “returned sword”, which came from a legend. The emperor of Vietnam Le Loi was given a magical sword by the magic turtle at the lake’s edge, which is used to drive out the invading Chinese. Afterwards, he gave back the sword to the Golden Turtle God in the lake.

Although, Hanoi has a lot of beautiful lakes, Hoan Kiem Lake is in its cultural and historic heart.

Hoi An: Hoi An, the most impressive and delightful town is located on the coast of the South China Sea. Once a major port, it presents the magnificent architecture and enticing riverside scenery that suits its heritage. This town is still one of the old towns of the city, which is full of winding lanes and Chinese-styled shops.

    Good choices for Vietnam’s tourist attractions – One clarification is, however needed: Thien Mu Pagoda can’t be prehistoric since it’s built in 1601, perhaps 4,000 years after the recalled history of Vietnam started and almost 2,000 years after recorded history.
